Fun weekend!

July 30
27 weeks

You know you're pregnant when... you randomly laugh because baby is kicking you while you wait in the line to pay for your groceries!

We had a great weekend sticking around home. Saturday we cleaned out our storage locker, getting rid of 2 huge rubbermaids full of 'stuff'. This gave us room to move things from the nursery closet to the storage locker. Sheldon even hung up a couple shirts in the new clean closet, so cute!

Evening walk at the beach we got married at!

Other than a pretty good Strep B bladder infection, and some sore hips, I am feeling great. I had some funny baby dreams this week, these dreams keep me guessing boy versus girl. (Post your vote in my poll).

Midwife apt today went smooth. I have 'A-' blood and apparently this is a bit rare. The interesting thing is that because PJ most likely has a positive blood type, I had to get an injection (in my thigh) to give me antibodies to keep my body from thinking baby was an invader and to stop me from going into preterm labour. Sheldon and I are amazed and thankful for science!

Baby is still measuring 'big', but I figure a bit bigger is better than a bit too small!

We are gearing up to leave for Ontario for 10 days this coming Thursday. Looking forward to friends and family time!
Love you baby PJ!!!

26 weeks and excited!

July 23
A little over 26 weeks

You know you're pregnant when... standing is more comfortable than sitting!

We were on the island this weekend visiting my parents (Grandma and Grandpa Hobson). We had a beautiful sunny day on Saturday, and enjoyed each other's company on the patio. Sunday we went for a walk so we could see the bathtub races, although they were interesting I think the scenery and deer were more captivating!

Visiting my parents in Nanaimo
I am having troubles getting comfortable these days. My back is sore, and nothing seems to be helping, I'm looking into some yoga to hopefully stretch things out. I am a little worried about the 5 hour plane ride to Ontario in a few weeks, but hopefully I can get an aisle seat and wander as needed.

Evening stroll with an ocean breeze

Baby PJ has been growing lots. It is apparent in my tummy size as well as how tired I am! I have been known to have a 2 hour nap in the day and still got to bed between 8 and 9. I am still loving all the movement PJ does, although sometimes it catches me off guard and I jump a bit. It's funny how I only seem to feel PJ's kicks on the right side or low middle. Usually I get a few good jabs to my ribs when my posture is bad!

Windy Ferry ride

Sheldon and I had a lot of fun putting together baby PJ's registry at a couple of baby stores. I am feeling  like I want to just buy everything so I know we'll have what we need, but Sheldon said we can wait we have a few months until October LOL!

It's rainy today, which is not great, but probably needed for some of those plants! My plan is to stay inside and work on the owl hanging mobile I am making to hang over PJ's crib... pics to come :) We are also planning on painting and setting up a few things when we come back from Ontario! I know seeing that nursery set up is going to feel great!

Ahead of schedule

July 12
Almost 25 weeks

You know you're pregnant when... it's fun to rest things on your tummy just to see if they can be kicked off!!!

Just came back from a midwife appointment where PJ was measuring 27 weeks, and I have gained a good amount of weight. Sheldon and I are both really happy with the progress. No one is worried about too much weight gain, or PJ being too big. A healthy heartbeat and lots of movement is what makes my day!

A great hike at 24 weeks

The midwife was able to feel PJ's head, back, and buttocks. I had thought that was the butt that has been sticking out making the right side of my tummy bulge a bit lately! LOL

Summer has arrived, and we are loving it! I have been swimming lots, and trying to stay cool. Last weekend we went for a nice hike just north of Squamish. It was great because although it was the middle of the day, we were shaded by the trees. Sheldon even went for a dip in the glacier lake at the mid point.

Our North Van house sitting is coming to an end, and we are going to be sad to say goodbye to the pool. Although, it will be nice to get back home and back into a routine of walking every morning and enjoying the river.

Staying cool

We are really excited about our trip to Ontario coming up in a few weeks, just hope baby PJ can handle the heat and humidity!

I'll kick you while I have the hiccups

July 2
23 weeks

You know you're pregnant when... the only reason you get up early in the morning is because you are starving, so you eat breakfast, and then head back to bed for another hour!

The movement continues to increase with PJ. I am starting to be able to see the kicks from the outside now, and it's pretty cool!

Sheldon and I are house sitting at my uncle's place in West Van for the next 3 weeks. It's a gorgeous house with a pool and lots of big TVs! We had our first swim on Canada Day, and it was great. I was a bit slow to get in, but once I got my suit on and started swimming I wished I'd gotten in earlier.

My lovely sister in law Erin says I don't even look pregnant here, and that some women would like to look like this on any given day! Gotta Love it!

My tummy is growing a lot and sometimes when I look at it, it shocks me! I know they say there is a baby growing in there, and I know my tummy is only going to get bigger, but it's still amazing to me and shocking how quickly it happens. *Check out my Growing and Glowing pictures to see the side view and what I'm talking about :)

Sheldon and I seem to talk more and more about PJ these days. Everything from fine tuning the names (one boy name and one girl name), to finding the perfect stroller. I already know he is going to be an amazing Dad!!!
